Forbearance - Dragonberries

As Salaam u Alaikum
With all of the arguments back and forth about the situation of the Danish cartoons, I feel that this should be said.
The Prophet (sws) was the perfect person. He (sws) was a prophet with the qualities that we lack. He (sws) spent his life spreading knowledge of Islam. Not to Muslims but to non-Muslims. That is who he (sws) made Dawah to. He (sws) never forced anyone to come into Islam. There is a hadith in which the Prophet (sws) visited a town and tried to preach Islam only to be treated absolutely wretchedly by these townspeople. After he left this town, two angels came to him and said "If you wish we can take this mountain and crush this town for you" by Allah's (swt) command. Instead, our kind Prophet (sws) raised his hands to Allah (swt) and prayed for these people. He (sws) asked Allah to have mercy on them and to guide them.
Another hadith relates that a Jewish man came to the Prophet (sws) and started calling him (sws) names. Such names that made Umar (ra) who was nearby get very angry. The Prophet (sws) remained calm. The Jewish man said, "This is the prophetic quality I was looking for, he (sws) had filled every other quality but this is the one I hadn't seen, forbearance, and now I've seen it." He then became a Muslim. These are the things that seperate us from the Prophet (sws). If we love the Prophet (sws) as much as we say we do, why aren't we following his sunnah? Is boycotting and creating violent protests peaceful? Do we remember that Islam means peace? Allah is the greatest. Only He (swt) has the power. Good things come out of tribulations. People have started learning about Islam and are becoming Muslims.
Another very crucial point to be made here. Could this situation have been avoided? What did we do to make sure that Islam is available in these countries where people don't know about Islam? Did we go there and make Dawah? Is boycotting and protesting more worthwhile, or should we be putting our energy and time into educating others? What would a person with strong Iman do? Let's look at ourselves before we point fingers at others. Let's blame ourselves for letting this happen and let us learn from this. Let's try to be a strong and peaceful ummah. We are already put down in the media. Don't let this further degrade our condition. I hope Allah (swt) guides us through this test and He (swt) knows best. We don't know anything.
